Though fall registration was due on June 19th you can still register but will be charged a $10 late registration fee. For the last 10 years or so the Nevada Soccer Club has hosted a summer Soccer Camp provided by Challenger Sports, sending coaches from England, Scotland and Ireland.  Camp this year was June 15-19 and there were about 45 campers that attended.  The younger campers met together in the mornings from 1 to 3 hour stretches and the older campers met in the afternoon.  Even some parents got involved with the training of the very young ones.  A terrific opportunity to concentrate on fundamentals of soccer, but also a great time of fun with three coaches the kids really enjoyed.  Weather played a big part of the week, all the way from raining and cool to hot and humid, so camp sometimes was held under shelter or taking breaks to get into some shade time.  From Nevada the coaches were headed south to a 9-coach camp north of Little Rock, Arkansas.  Gordy said he goes back home in November while both Sammy and Mike will head back home in August.  Thanks to Gordy, Sammy and Mike for a great camp experience this year!  Enjoy this small selection of pictures of camp included in this slideshow. Referee Scheduling for U10 - U19 Teams - If you reschedule a game or need information on referees contact Charlie Ramsay at 641-430-1491 or socrdude74@msn.com.   Weekly Game Score Reporting for U12-U19 Coaches - Contact Mark Rhodes before Tuesday after each game to report your scores. 382-1926 or marklynnr@aol.com. When the season is over, send him your completed pink sheet signed by a referee at each game (1726 F Ave., Nevada).   Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the State Bank meeting room.
